Chapter 10. Rules and Regulations Providing for the Certification of Seeds and Othermaterials Used for Plant Propagation Purposes

The State Certified Seed Board is a unit of the Cooperative Extension Service of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University at Blacksburg, Virginia. The board is authorized to provide a program of certification of agricultural and vegetable seed and other materials used for plant propagation purposes, and to make regulations fixing standards and procedures for certification and labeling thereof. Code of Virginia, Title 3.2, Chapter 40, Article 2. The board's regulations provide for certification to be conducted by the Virginia Crop Improvement Association, a nonprofit organization of seed growers represented on the board.
