PUBLIC SAFETYDEPARTMENT OF STATE POLICEChapter 100Final RegulationREGISTRAR'S NOTICE: The Department of State Police is claiming an exclusion from the Administrative Process Act in accordance with § 2.2-4006 A 4 a of the Code of Virginia, which excludes regulations that are necessary to conform to changes in Virginia statutory law where no agency discretion is involved. The Department of State Police will receive, consider, and respond to petitions by any interested person at any time with respect to reconsideration or revision.
Title of Regulation: 19VAC30-100. Regulations Governing Purchases of Handguns in Excess of One Within A 30-Day Period (repealing 19VAC30-100-10 through 19VAC30-100-110).
Statutory Authority: § 18.2-308.2:2 of the Code of Virginia.
Effective Date: August 15, 2012.

Summary:
Chapters 37 and 257 of the 2012 Acts of Assembly eliminated the prohibition on purchasing more than one handgun in a 30-day period. Therefore, this regulation is repealed.
