PROFESSIONAL AND OCCUPATIONAL LICENSINGBOARD OF DENTISTRYChapter 20Final RegulationREGISTRAR'S NOTICE: The Board of Dentistry has claimed an exemption from the Administrative Process Act in accordance with § 2.2-4006 A 4 a of the Code of Virginia, which excludes regulations that are necessary to conform to changes in Virginia statutory law or the appropriation act where no agency discretion is involved. The Board of Dentistry will receive, consider and respond to petitions by any interested person at any time with respect to reconsideration or revision.

Statutory Authority: § 54.1-2400 of the Code of Virginia.

Summary:
In compliance with Chapter 687 of the 2009 Acts of Assembly, the Board of Dentistry has amended its regulations relating to the responsibility of the licensee or registrant to provide current addresses. Every licensee and registrant is required to provide an address of record for use by the board, and is permitted to provide a second address to be used as the public address. If a second address is not provided, the address of record becomes the public address. Regulations are amended to use the statutory terminology of address of record and to clarify that the regulant has a responsibility to notify the board within 30 days if there is a change in the address of record or the public address, if different from the address of record.
18VAC60-20-16. Address of record.
At all times, each licensed dentist and dental hygienist shall provide the board with a current
, primary businessaddress of record, and each dental hygienist shall provide a current mailing address. All required notices mailed by the board to any such licensee shall be validly given when mailed to the latest address of record given by the licensee. All changesofin the address of record or in the public address, if different from the address of record, shall be furnished to the board in writing within 30 days of such changes.VA.R. Doc.
