PROFESSIONAL AND OCCUPATIONAL LICENSINGBOARD FOR BARBERS AND COSMETOLOGYChapter 30Notice of Intended Regulatory ActionNotice is hereby given in accordance with § 2.2-4007.01 of the Code of Virginia that the Board for Barbers and Cosmetology intends to consider amending the following regulations: 18VAC41-30, Hair Braiding Regulations. The purpose of the proposed action is to to increase licensing fees for regulants of the Board for Barbers and Cosmetology. The board must establish fees adequate to support the costs of the board operations and a proportionate share of the department’s operations. By the close of the next biennium, fees will not provide adequate revenue for those costs.
The agency intends to hold a public hearing on the proposed action after publication in the Virginia Register.
Statutory Authority: § 54.1-201 of the Code of Virginia.
Public Comments: Public comments may be submitted until 5 p.m. on April 30, 2009.
