Section 300. Closure of roads or openings

Upon abandonment of a mine, the operator shall effectively close or fence all roads or openings or pits where hazardous conditions exist and warning signs shall be posted. Upon temporary cessation of mining activities as provided for in § 45.1-181 of the Code of Virginia, the operator shall effectively close or barricade access roads and hazardous areas.
